The National Congress of Italian-Canadians (National Capital District) First Annual La Befana Contest:

Children between the ages of 4-12 were asked to submit either a short written essay or an Audio / Video recording recounting what La Befana meant to them. Successful contestants were the recipients of A Day in the Life of The Befana by Bruna Di Giuseppe Bertoni as well as an Indigo $25.00 gift card donated by Suite Dreams Home Emporium. Second place contestants received a copy of 

A Day in the Life of The Befana. Judging was done by the author of the book who lives in Toronto.

 

In the 4-8 age group category, the winner was Steven Paden Bevilacqua (5 yrs old).

The runners up were the team of Sophia and Giovanni Bogdanov and Olivia and Nicholas Franchi. 

 

In the 9-12 age group category, the winner was Alexander Mosley (12 years old).

The runner up was Federica D'Amato (12 years old)
